On March 27, Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) joined farmers and ranchers from across the country at the Great American Agriculture Celebration hosted by President Trump at the White House.

During the event, President Trump announced several proposals intended to assist the agriculture sector, including new guidance regarding diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) sensors. In addition, he announced changes to the Renewable Fuel Standard for 2026 and 2027 to increase the use of biofuels.

"AED was honored to be a part of the Great American Agriculture Celebration and commends the Trump administration's support for the nation's farmers, ranchers and producers," said Brian P. McGuire, AED's president and CEO. "AED looks forward to continuing to work with President Trump, Secretary Rollins and the rest of the administration on policies expanding the use of agriculture-based biofuels, opening international markets to strengthen export opportunities and providing certainty to the agriculture sector."

AED welcomed equipment dealers from the Pioneer Equipment Dealers Association and the Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association to Washington, D.C., for meetings with United States Department of Agriculture officials and lawmakers on Capitol Hill to push for policies beneficial to the agriculture sector.

AED board member BJ Knutson, president and CEO of Titan Machinery based in Fargo, N.D., attended the White House event on behalf of AED.

"It was a privilege to represent AED and equipment dealers at the White House and hear from President Trump," said Knutson. "The event was a perfect culmination of several days of meetings facilitated by AED with lawmakers on Capitol Hill in support of the agriculture sector. This unified effort carried a strong message. This is a pivotal moment for biofuels. Permanently passing year-round usage of E15 is necessary to provide much-needed certainty.

"Expanding biofuel usage will help the American consumer, foster energy independence, strengthen commodity prices and support the long-term stability and growth of our rural communities. Additionally, furthering progress on the farm bill and viable trade markets is important to provide the certainty that our farm economy needs. Now is the time to turn these conversations into action and move this industry forward."
