Alex Lyon & Son Kicks Off Annual Florida Auctions

Construction Equipment Guide

Alex Lyon & Son kicked off the annual Florida Auctions in Kissimmee, Fla.

Alex Lyon’s sale ran from Jan. 29 to Feb. 6. Quite possibly its largest equipment auction ever, Alex Lyon featured earthmoving equipment, aerial lifts, forklifts, dump trucks, truck trailers, trailers, support equipment and attachments. The equipment was gathered from the best authorized dealer rental fleets across the country, including Neff, RSC, Genie, JCB, JLG, Sunbelt, Hertz and Caterpillar.

The bidding at this year’s Florida auctions was brisk. The combined effects of low dealer inventories, reduced manufacturing levels, increased demand domestically and overseas has made the market for late-hour used construction equipment in the United States very strong.
