Responding to a worldwide surge in the demand for all terrain (AT) cranes, the ALL Erection & Crane Rental Corp. Family of Companies has fortified its AT rental fleet in the 200-ton to 300-ton range with the purchase of two new Liebherr models. The 300-ton (272 t) LTM 1250-6.1 and the 220-ton (199.5 t) LTM 1200-5.1 will be available in May.

The new LTM equipment features Tier IV engines to meet the EPA’s Clean Air Nonroad Diesel Rule mandating reduced emissions in non-road diesel engines. Tier IV engines have advanced emission-control technologies that decrease exhaust emissions by more than 90 percent and decrease the allowable level of sulfur in nonroad diesel fuel by more than 99 percent.

New Equipment Specs

The 300-ton LTM 1250-6.1 six-axle mobile crane has a 6-section telescopic boom, that extends from 51 ft. (15.5 m) to 236 ft. (72 m). A lattice jib offers additional reach up to 230 ft. (70 m). Modular-mounted data bus technology ensures cost effectiveness and improved operating safety in the travel and crane drives.

The 220-ton LTM 1200-5.1 has notable lifting capacities and the longest telescopic boom on the market in the five-axle class. The seven-section, 236-ft. (72 m) telescopic boom can be extended further with a 23-ft. (7 m) lattice jib and a swing-away jib up to 118 ft. (36 m) long.

“The timing on this deal couldn’t have been better,” said Michael Liptak, president of the ALL Family of Companies. “With the 200- to 300-ton ATs steadily increasing in global demand, these LTMs give new muscle to our rental fleet. Thanks to the efforts of our Liebherr representative, J. Hutton Strader, we were able to make this exciting announcement on the eve of ConExpo.”
