Altorfer Inc. announced that Marty Hart has been elected as vice president of the rental division.

Hart joined Altorfer in 2007 as store manager of the Cedar Rapids rental location, and most recently held the position of western region (Iowa) sales and operations manager within the rental division.

A veteran of the United States Navy, Hart started his career in the rental industry as a sales representative of BPS Equipment Rental in Raleigh, N.C. Since then, he has held the positions of branch manager, district sales manager and overall district operations manager of MSP Rents, Rental Service Corporation (RSC) and United Rentals respectively.

“Marty has a deep understanding of the rent-to-rent industry, and has managed the utilization of equipment fleets similar in size to ours while also coaching a sales organization to maximize their performance,” said Derek Altorfer, Altorfer executive vice president. “He has a ’can do’ attitude and enjoys bringing individuals together for the common goal of serving customers.”
