The MB l200 hydraulic breaker from Atlas Copco Tools Inc. is ideal for rock mining, demolition, tunnel construction, trenching and foundation work.
The MB 1200’s design combines reliability with high single blow energy and an impact frequency of 680 blows per minute. With a weight of 2,650 lbs. (1,202 kg) the MB 1200 is suitable for excavators in the 16.5 to 28.6 ton (15 to 26 t) weight class and has a maximum hydraulic flow of 37 gal. (140 L) per minute at 2,610 psi (182 bar) of pressure.
The MB 1200 includes features such as AutoControl and StartSelect. AutoControl is a monitoring system that allows the hammer to adapt its frequency and power output to match operating conditions.
It begins by firing the first stroke at half power to create a pilot notch that will center the working tool and prevent unnecessary tool slippage. It then adjusts the power output to match the density of the specified material to be broken, reducing excess shock on both the hammer and carrier. To further maximize efficiency, the MB 1200 features the StartSelect system, which allows start-up and shut-off to be adjusted to fit job-site conditions. In AutoStop mode, the hammer will not fire until the operator applies down pressure on the demolition tool via the carrier.
The VibroSilenced damping system and ContiLube II are two other features of Krupp percussion technology that come standard on the MB 1200. The VibroSilenced damping system helps to alleviate excess noise and vibration.
