Construction Equipment Guide

Featuring a 15.4 by 17 in. (39 by 43 cm) chipper opening and a 37-in. (94 cm) diameter drum, the Bandit Model 1090XP offers the power and productivity of a Bandit drum chipper with the compact, lightweight features of a 12-in. (30.5 cm) capacity unit.

Weighing between 5,300- and 6,300-lbs. (2,404 and 2,857 kg) on a single 7,000-lb. (3,175 kg) Nev-R-Lube Torflex axle, the 1090XP can be equipped with engines ranging from 65- to 140-hp (48.5 to 104.4 kW).

The oversized diameter drum is a full 15 in. (38 cm) larger than many of its competitors, maximizing its chipping and fuel efficiency, according to the manufacturer.

Bandit also is releasing two models of Limited Edition chippers in January 2008 as part of its year-long 25th Anniversary celebration. The Model 250XP and 1590XP brush chippers will be available with a 25th Anniversary Deluxe Option package and special decals, and are available with special financing options and rebates.
