The Chicago Tribune is reporting that construction is complete on the new left field bleachers at Wrigley field, the home of the Chicago Cubs. The work done has called he most dramatic changes to the ballpark’s bleachers since they were built in 1937.

Last week, the Tribune reported that a crane in the right-field corner reached to install the new 2,250-square-foot right-field video board — a bookend to the 3,990-square-foot board in left — while the percussive rhythms of a construction site pierced the air.

The Cubs have created two new standing-room sections in left field that they are calling "the well," which sits just behind the ribbon video board on the left-field wall, and "the porch," which is under the new video board in left-center, president of business operations Crane Kenney told the Tribune on Monday.

“It’s going to be good to have some noise out there,” Cubs center fielder Dexter Fowler said. “Before, I could talk to the left fielder or right fielder, just like the way we’re talking now. I would say, ’Hey, scoot over.’ But it’s going to be way better now.”
