WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont. (AP) — A construction worker in Yellowstone National Park had a run-in with a bison this past week.
Park spokesman Neal Herbert told KULR-TV the man was working east of Fishing Bridge on the morning of July 12 when a bison knocked him to the ground.
The man was taken to a clinic but Herbert said he did not know the extent of his injuries.
In early June, park officials said a group of tourists was standing on a boardwalk and some came within 15 ft. of the bison as it crossed. The animal became agitated and charged them, goring a California woman. She was treated for a hip injury.
Park officials recommend people stay at least 75 ft. from bison.
