Bobcat Company expanded its dealer network with the addition of Lyle Machinery Company as an authorized sales and service provider for the Bobcat line of compact equipment. Bobcat of Gulfport in Saucier, Miss., and Bobcat of Mobile in Mobile, Ala., are now part of Lyle Machinery Company.

Both dealerships are about 12,000 sq. ft. Bobcat of Gulfport employs 11 people, and Bobcat of Mobile employs eight.

Both locations will carry the product line-up of Bobcat skid-steer and compact track loaders, compact excavators, Toolcat utility work machines and attachments. Bobcat of Gulfport also will carry compact tractors and related implements.

“We see this as a tremendous opportunity to grow our business and provide our customers with products from the Bobcat product line,” said Daniel Lyle, executive vice president of Lyle Machinery, whose family has been involved in the construction business for 52 years.

Lyle Machinery Company, which was renamed in 2005 from Great Southern Tractor Company, provides sales and service to most of Mississippi. They also have 17 fully equipped field-service trucks and 24-hour-a-day parts service to ensure their customers’ uptime and efficiency.

Bobcat Company introduced its original self-propelled loader with the unique skid steer drive system to the industry in 1958.
