Broce Manufacturing Company, Inc. is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Broce was incorporated in 1963; however the birth of the sweeper took place a few years earlier as an invention of necessity. Broce Construction Company, a highway contractor, needed a better process for sweeping on highway projects.

Broce Construction developed a front engine mechanical self-propelled sweeper. Upon seeing the Broce sweeper in action, other construction companies asked Broce to build one for them as well.

Today, Broce is the worldwide leader in the mid-mount self-propelled sweeper industry. Through hard work and ingenuity, Broce has developed a mid-mount, rear engine road sweeper that is unequaled in quality and performance. To meet the varying needs of our customer base, Broce offers a 3-wheel model utility sweeper and a material transfer unit as well. All of the company’s products are built in the “Heartland” of the USA at its plant in Dodge City, Kansas.

According to the company, Broce is a family owned business built on the principles of honesty, hard work, and the pursuit of excellence. Broce would like its extend our appreciation to all of the loyal Broce Broom customers that have made the achievement of this milestone possible.
