Carolina CAT hosted a Landfill Technology Demo Day Nov. 16 at the Uwharrie Environmental Landfill in Mount Gillead, N.C.
The event was held to introduce new ideas and solutions in landfill management, such as maximizing compaction, improving air space and bringing more life to the landfill with Caterpillar’s computer-aided earthmoving system.
Several of the Cat 836H and D9T machines used at the landfill are equipped with the system. Other landfill operators attended the event to learn how to adopt the successful practices used at the Uwharrie Landfill.
