Carter Machinery Company Inc. and Caterpillar Global Mining LLC finalized a transaction June 3, 2013, through which Carter acquired from Cat Global Mining its expanded Cat Mining products distribution and support business for Carter’s service territory. Carter is the authorized Cat dealer in Virginia and southern West Virginia.

They include Room & Pillar and Longwall equipment, Electric Rope and Hydraulic Shovels, Highwall Miners, Drills, Belt Systems and various other lines of support equipment.
