Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) has made changes to its executive management team (EMT) to strengthen focus on business and cultural transformation and further accelerate overall company performance.

Christian Hallbjörner has been appointed head of finance and chief financial officer (CFO) of Volvo CE, effective Jan. 1, 2026. He succeeds Klara Eiritz who has decided to take on a new assignment outside Volvo CE as announced in September 2025. Hallbjörner previously served as senior vice president, finance and chief financial officer of Volvo Financial Services. He brings more than 28 years of experience in finance, business control and business development, including the last 15 years within Volvo Financial Services, Volvo Trucks and Volvo Penta.

"I'm excited to welcome Christian to Volvo CE," said Melker Jernberg, head of Volvo CE. "With his extensive experience within the Volvo Group, Hallbjörner will be a key contributor in driving our financial agenda as we continue to transform our company."

Malin Norman has been appointed head of people and culture of Volvo CE, effective March 1, 2026. She will succeed Ann-Sofie Räftegård, who, after more than six years in the role, will assume a new position as senior transformation lead of Volvo CE.

Malin has built a long and successful career across several parts of the Volvo Group, including roles at GTO Powertrain in Köping, Sweden; GTO Powertrain in Hagerstown, Md.; and, since 2021, serving as head of people and culture technology of Volvo CE.

"It's a pleasure to see an internal talent take on this exciting challenge," said Jernberg. "Malin brings a wealth of experience, with her broad background across Volvo and her leadership in technology making her well-suited to advance our people and culture agenda. I'm confident Malin will make a significant impact, and I look forward to working closely with her."

Both Christian and Malin will join the Volvo CE executive management team. They will be based in Eskilstuna and report to Melker Jernberg, head of Volvo CE.
