Mary's Center will honor Clark Construction with the Community Service Award for its commitment to improving the lives of the community they serve and work with. The award presentation took place at Mary's Center's Annual Gala, Noche Tropical, on Oct. 6th at the Washington Hilton Hotel.

“This recognition is our way of expressing our gratitude and appreciation for Clark Construction's commitment to building healthy and resilient communities,” said Mary's Center's president and CEO, Maria Gomez. “They are not only builders of spaces, but also builders of hope through their amazing empathy and interest in giving back to our hard-working families, including their own laborers.”

Clark Construction and Mary's Center share a commitment to helping families thrive through employment opportunities and access to healthcare. The two organizations have partnered for more than a decade in many ways. Clark has provided Mary's Center with financial support, volunteers and pro bono expertise, while Mary's Center has provided medical and social support to many of Clark's field employees.

“Giving back has been one of our main core values for 111 years and we like to partner with organizations that touch the lives of so many people, like Mary's Center,” said Susan Williamson Ross, executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Clark Construction. “We see Mary's Center as winners, and we like to be associated with winners.”

The Noche Tropical Annual Gala brings together more than 600 community leaders for a fun and festive night to celebrate Mary's Center partners and achievements. For more information, visit maryscenter.org/gala.
