William Joseph Wootten Sr., of Williamstown, N.J., passed away on Aug. 20, 2016, at the age of 73.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa., Wootten resided in Fortescue, N.J., for 34 years. He was the owner of Wild Bill's Bait and Tackle and also worked along with William F. Comly & Son for 43 years.

Beloved husband for 55 years of Maryann (nee Rajauski); devoted father of William J. Wootten Jr. (Val), Maryann Kreher (Chuck), and Daniel Jude (Erin); loving grandfather of Daniel (Janice), Ashley and Kayla Kreher, and great-grandfather of the late Elizabeth Jay Wootten; dear brother of Gereldine Hilton (Jack) and Richard (Carol); cherished uncle of Stanley Rajauski and many nieces and nephews. Wootten leaves behind his beloved pit bull, Jo-Jo.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Wootten's memory may be made to McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, N.J. 08080.
