Illinois Congressional Representative for the 6th District Peter Roskam (R-IL) paid a visit to the Illinois Equipment Distributors meeting Oct 13 in Carol Stream, Ill. Roskam, who is campaigning for a second term, served on the Ways & Means Committee and was recognized by the AED for his support to the industry.

Roskam’s visit concluded with the presentation of an AED PAC check for $2,500 to Roskam from Executive Vice President and COO Bob Henderson for his support of the industry.

During the meeting the 2011 IED officers also were announced. The officers include President Steve Dillon of West Side Tractor Sales, Vice President Barry Heinrichs of Burris Equipment, Treasurer Robert Sloan of Contractors Rental Equipment, Executive Secretary Hugh Goulding of E TIP Inc., First Year Director Jim Cox of Casey Equipment Co., Second Year Director Rick Dahl of Metrolift and Associate Director Steve Nenn of Wells Fargo.

Joe McKeon of Construction Equipment Guide and Bob Jones of SES are retiring for the board after each completing five years of service.
