The Sioux City Journal is reporting that a former W.A. Klinger construction employee is facing forgery and first-degree theft charges for stealing multiple pieces of construction equipment and charging thousands of dollars on company credit cards.
According to court documents, Scott Lee Chamberlain, 44, of Kingsley, was an employee at Sioux City-based Klinger for several years.
According to court documents, between January 2013 and January 2016, Chamberlain took several pieces of property from the company, including a motor vehicle, a skid loader and other construction equipment, without permission and kept them at his residence. Documents say he also charged more than $10,000 in unauthorized transactions on company credit cards for personal purchases.
Police found numerous pieces of property while executing a search warrant at his residence. Documents say Chamberlain admitted to doing the acts for several years prior to his termination from the company on Jan. 13.
