Distributors Elect Johnston, Sill

Construction equipment distributors in Indiana and Michigan have elected Ben T. Johnston, board chairman, MacDonald Machinery Co. Inc., Fort Wayne, IN, to represent them for the next three years on the board of directors of Associated Equipment Distributors (AED).

Johnston will be installed during AED’s 81st annual meeting in Chicago, Jan. 27-29.

MacDonald Machinery carries Case, Dynaweld, Grove Manlift, Ingersoll-Rand, National Crane, Rosco and Terex crane equipment. Branch locations are in South Bend, Lafayette and Indianapolis and serve customers in all except the extreme southern portions of Indiana.

A member of the AED Government Affairs Committee, Johnston has also served on the state board of Associated Builders and Contractors and the legislative committee of Indiana Highway Contractors.

Michael M. Sill II, president and CEO, Road Machinery & Supplies Co., Savage, MN, has been appointed to a one-year term as regional director of AED.

Sill represents construction equipment distributors in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota on the AED Board of Directors. His appointment completes the unexpired term of Gary Carlson who has resigned from the board.

Sill also will be installed during AED’s 81st annual meeting in Chicago.

Road Machinery & Supplies carries Blaw-Knox, Ingersoll-Rand, Elgin Sweeper, Fuchs, Gomaco, Gorman-Rupp, Komatsu, LaBounty, Link-Belt, Load King, Lull, Payhauler, Svedala, Gradall and Vactor equipment. The company serves customers in Minnesota, Iowa and the upper peninsula of Michigan from its headquarters and branch locations in Cedar Rapids, Mason City, Des Moines, Sioux City and Ft. Dodge, IA; Milan, IL, Duluth, Iron Mountain, VA and Grand Rapids, MN.
