Felling Trailers Inc. announced that it will be exhibiting at The ARA Show 2026 in Orlando, Fla., March 2-4, 2026, where we will showcase the FT-10 DDPT drop deck pan tilt bed utility trailer.

This equipment hauler represents Felling's commitment to engineering innovative solutions that make equipment transportation safer, easier and more efficient for rental professionals and their customers.

Engineered for Low-Clearance Equipment

The FT-10 DDPT is designed to address the challenges of loading and transporting low-clearance machines. Whether you're moving equipment from the warehouse to the work site or to the home site, this trailer's gravity-based tilt mechanism provides a solution that streamlines your operations, according to Felling.

The trailer is ideal for transporting mowers, scissor lifts, rollers, forklifts, landscape materials and other equipment that requires a low loading angle.

Key Features, Specifications

The FT-10 DDPT combines robust construction with user-friendly features, according to Felling. With a 79-in. width (inside wheelwells) and 12-ft. length (21-ft. overall), this trailer offers space for a variety of equipment while maintaining a manageable footprint. The 4-ft. dovetail paired with the 18 in. approach plate provides a gradual, smooth transition for low clearance equipment during loading and unloading.

The DDPT's gravity-tilt system uses a center pivot point to tilt the bed toward the ground. The pan tilt's locking mechanism was designed to enhance the operator's ease of use through its safety-minded, straightforward operation. With approximate load angles ranging from 7 to 13 degrees and an 18-in. approach plate, equipment operators will find loading a no hassle process, according to Felling.

The trailer features fabricated steel pan sides measuring 10 in. high, providing secure cargo containment while maintaining the low load height design that is essential for transporting low-clearance equipment. This unit features an optional 3/16 in. steel floor plate deck that ensures durability and longevity, with six 5/8 in. straight D-rings and two corner tie, tie-downs for securing your valuable equipment during transport. The FT-10 DDPT also is optioned with a 45 in. wide, 14 in. long and 8 in. deep lockable, bolt-on 2.5 cu. ft. toolbox, providing for safe storage of chains and tie-down straps.

Built for Durability, Safety

The trailer rides on two 6,000-lb. axles with spring suspension, providing a smooth, stable ride for your equipment, according to Felling. Electric brakes (forward self-adjusting) on both axles deliver confident stopping power, ensuring safe transport of cargo. The trailer comes equipped with ST225/75R 15 D tires optioned with custom black mod wheels, designed to handle the demands of the rental environment.

With a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 9,980 lbs. and a payload capacity of 7,380 lbs., the FT-10 DDPT can handle substantial equipment loads. The adjustable 2-5/16-in. ball coupler accommodates various hitch heights. Safety and visibility are prioritized through LED lighting throughout the trailer, complete with a sealed wiring harness for reliability and a standard 7-pole RV plug for easy electrical connection.
