Flint Construction & Forestry Division opened its 28th full-service branch in Valdosta, Ga., the week of Sept. 16, 2018.
The facility is located at 5763 Hunt Road in Valdosta and serves the South Georgia marketplace, specifically concentrated in the following Georgia counties: Atkinson, Berrien, Ben Hill, Brooks, Clinch, Coffee, Colquitt, Cook, Decatur, Echols, Grady, Irwin, Lanier, Lowndes, Tift, Thomas and Ware.
The newly renovated facility efficiently utilizes more than 7,500 sq. ft. of space, and incorporates six service bays, sales offices and a fully stocked parts warehousing area.
Situated on a 7-acre parcel of land provides plenty of room for stocking construction and forestry machines, according to the company. This location is a full-service branch (sales, service, parts, rentals) for John Deere construction, mining and forestry, as well as equipment for other manufactures such as Hitachi, Dynapac, Alamo, Bomag, Roadhog, Topcon, Finn and others. Company-wide used equipment inventory purchasing and financing also is available through this branch location.
Leading the parts management functions at the new branch is Tommy Martin, while the lead sales representative is Jim Rodgers. Company officials stated that the "dust is still settling" on this newly renovated facility, and added, "from construction, forestry, and mining equipment to agricultural machines and diesel engines and power units — if John Deere makes it — we rent, sell, finance, insure, service, and provide parts for it. Not just from this location, but from all over the Southeast."
Flint Construction & Forestry has locations in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Florida. The new Valdosta location will be hosting a grand opening event on Nov. 2, 2018.
