Gregory Poole Equipment Company, the Caterpillar dealer for eastern North Carolina, held an open house and grand opening for its new Mebane, N.C., branch on April 25.
The facility is located along I-85/40 at exit 152. The mayor of Mebane welcomed the company to the community. The opening of the completed facility occurred 18 months after the Nov. 1, 2007, ground breaking.
Greg Poole III, chairman and president of Gregory Poole Equipment Company, addressed the open house’s 300 guests. He commented that the facility was built for the employees, because, “It is the employees of Gregory Poole Equipment Company who take care of the most important people — you the customers.”
The facility has generous warehouse space for parts. There are eight drive-through service bays with a 5-ton (4.5 t) overhead crane. The building was designed to accommodate any future expansion needs.
