Hiniker Company's Model 975 dual-motor electric salt and sand spreader features a large 4-cu. yd. (3 cu m) capacity. The spreader uses a 5.75-in. (14.6 cm) diameter auger conveyor system to provide positive delivery control with no material carry-back into the truck bed. Two electric motors provide independent variable speed control of the auger and the spinner for precise rate and pattern control. With no conveyor chain, far fewer bearings, and 12-volt electrical motor power, maintenance needs are cut to a minimum.

The unit also features blast control for quick, extra dense applications and a reverse switch to clear jams quickly and easily. A convenient tip-up spinner assembly makes unloading unused material simple and provides easy trailer hitch access.
