IAAP Hosts Annual Golf Outing in Illinois

Illinois Association of Aggregate Producers (IAAP) invited its members and guests to participate in the 2007 IAAP Golf Outing Aug. 13. A total of 263 golfers signed up to play at Panther Creek Country Club and Piper Glen Golf Club in Illinois.

Due to the members’ strong support, the outing raised $7,890 for the Illinois Teachers Workshop and $7,890 for the IAAP’s Political Action Committee. Hole sponsors, which included Roland Machinery Company, Westside Tractor Sales Co. and The Fabick Companies, contributed $250 each.

At the Piper Glen scramble, Prairie Materials foursome Bob Furlong, Ed Plonis, Lori Bartels and Chip Markgraf won the first place trophy with a team score of 59. At the Panther Creek scramble, Ron Koehler of Nokomis Quarry Company along with J.R. Hickman, Roger Shipley and Jim Riemer came in first place with a team score of 57.

The IAAP’s Annual Golf Outing will return to Panther Creek and Piper Glen Aug. 11, 2008.
