Six construction workers were injured when a building that was under construction collapsed in the southwestern Idaho town of Parma.

KBOI-TV reports police believe 14 workers were standing on the building when it collapsed Wednesday afternoon.

Police say some of the workers were trapped under debris but were able to be pulled out by co-workers before emergency crews arrived.

An air ambulance was called in but authorities say the six workers were all taken to the hospital by ground ambulance.

Parma Police Chief Albert Erickson said the extent of their injuries wasn't immediately known.

The building under construction was on property owned by the JC Watson Company, an onion growing, packing and shipping business.

The collapse will be investigated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
