Indeco has introduced major product advancements to its line of hydraulic breakers.

Hydraulic breakers are designed with tools that impact the rock or concrete to be broken at 500 to more than 1,200 blows per minute. Theoretically, over the course of an eight-hour shift, a breaker could go through as many as 648,000 cycles. At this rate in a dusty, dirty environment, it is not too difficult to see why the lower tool bushing takes a beating and is subject to accelerated wear.

With this fact in mind, Indeco has redesigned the lower tool bushing of its breakers to make them field replaceable. Unlike competitive models, the bushing no longer requires lengthy downtime, nor expensive shop time to replace. It can be replaced in the field in minutes without dismantling the breaker. This will reduce down time and repair costs. The new lower tool bushing also helps extend the life and productivity of the tool itself thereby reducing replacement tool costs.

In addition, both dealers and end-users are offered a choice of the standard steel bushing or a new composite bushing. The type of bushing depends on the type of work to be done. Contractors may make the decision on which bushing they would like at their local dealer.

Yet another innovation is a grease and dust shield which protects the lower tool bushing by keeping the grease in and the dirt out. Dust and other materials kicked up from the breaking process is kept away from moving parts thus extending the working life of both the tool and the bushing.

These features add to an ever-growing list of value-adds which are standard with all Indeco breakers: auto-variable speed system, auto-lubrication system, dual shock absorbing system and simple slim line design.
