Alex Lyon & Son was founded in 1950 by Alex Lyon as a company that handled private treaty negotiations of cattle and farm machinery. In 1973, Alex's son Jack became more involved and began to diversify, working heavy equipment sales into the lineup of services. Today, the company conducts sales of construction equipment the world over. Alex Lyon & Son is headquartered in Syracuse, N.Y.
