Despite the bitter cold, negative 30 degree wind chill at auction start time, I.R.A.Y Auction’s Dec. 6 heavy equipment, truck and trailer auction went on as scheduled in Foley, Minn.

Although the trucks and equipment did not roll over the ramp, there was a caravan of activity rolling though the I.R.A.Y. lot. The auctioneer announced from a van, which was followed by an 800,000 BTU Flagro trailer heater to keep bidders warm. Following that was a bus for buyers who were waiting to bid on an upcoming piece.

For those buyers who preferred staying indoors, the internet bidding system was projected on a screen in the registration area and a ring man relayed bids to the auction booth via a wireless audio connection.

Buyers and sellers alike were happy with the results, according to the company.
