After 40 years in the grading, clearing and paving business, Sox and Sons Construction Co. Inc. commissioned Iron Auction Group to liquidate its current assets at an unreserved public auction. The auction was held Sept. 22, 2023, in Columbia, S.C., and featured 215 lots, consisting of construction equipment, trucks, trailers and all support equipment. The fleet had been meticulously maintained.
Bidders came from 24 U.S. states and four countries, including Pakistan, Mexico, Guatemala and Canada.
A few of the highlights included a 2019 Komatsu PC80 MR5; a 2018 Cat 336F excavator; a low-hour John Deere 260 skid steer; and a Cat 725 artic truck. CEG
