JCB Appoints Helmut Peters President

Helmut Peters, formerly executive vice president of the Volvo Construction Equipment Group, has been appointed president of JCB Inc. in North America.

Peters was also president and CEO of Volvo Construction Equipment North America Inc. for seven years, during which time he reorganized and developed the business that grew from sales of $200 million to $700 million.

Peters has spent thirty years as a senior executive in the construction industry, working in North America, Europe and South Africa. He was with Volvo for 11 years, joining them as managing director of the company’s German subsidiary company. Before that, he spent five years with Bomag GmbH working in Germany and South Africa.
