Michael Jamison, vice president of operations, Troy Construction in Sugar Land, TX, won a trip to Super Bowl XXXV as a JCB VIP guest. Jamison’s entry was randomly drawn in a contest through U.S. and Canadian construction equipment dealers of JCB Inc. The area JCB dealer was Preco, a Crescent Machinery Company in Houston.

As one of four JCB VIP guests, Jamison received a ticket to the Super Bowl XXXV game and roundtrip transportation to Tampa, complete with luxury hotel accommodations. In addition, his JCB “Access All Areas” VIP Pass allowed admission to exclusive events leading up to the game, including the Taste of NFL Party to mingle with players and celebrities, in addition to VIP guest status at Tampa’s famous Gasparilla Pirate Fest.

JCB Inc. was a host sponsor as official heavy equipment supplier to Super Bowl XXXV. JCB’s own “Gridiron Giants,” the company’s 214 backhoe loaders and its “Dancing Diggers” were a familiar sight around Tampa during Super Bowl festivities. They appeared at various venues, including the Gasparilla Parade and Festival, Anheuser-Busch’s “Bud Bowl,” local schools, and the Tampa Children’s Hospital.

JCB’s “Dancing Digger,” a team of 8-ton (7.2 t) backhoe loaders, perform an intricate and spectacular backhoe ballet set to music. They also performed at the 2000 Super Bowl in Atlanta, GA.
