Komatsu Equipment has acquired the assets of Shanahan Equipment’s Reno location.

Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Komatsu Equipment Company began operations in 1997 and is the exclusive distributor for Komatsu Equipment in Nevada, Utah and portions of Wyoming.

“This acquisition gives Shanahan’s Reno customers access to our services and is an excellent opportunity for us to expand our operations,” noted John Pfisterer, president of Komatsu Equipment Company. “We are happy to broaden our relationship with Komatsu by increasing the size of our territory to include all of Nevada.”

Terms of the acquisition were not announced. The Reno branch will continue to operate at its existing location, 900 Marietta Way in Sparks, Nev. The branch will carry the full line of Komatsu construction, mining and utility equipment and will offer quick parts availability plus the full range of shop and field services.

Komatsu Equipment has been selling and servicing heavy machinery since 1997.

An exclusive dealer for Komatsu, the company has six locations throughout Nevada, Utah and Wyoming.
