On Oct. 31, Komatsu America Corp. representatives flocked to Talladega, Ala., to join their distributor, Tractor & Equipment Company (TEC) to witness the first ever Komatsu/Tractor & Equipment Company sponsored NASCAR Sprint Cup car run in the AMP Energy Juice 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.

James Finch, owner of Phoenix Racing, partnered with the two companies in the past in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, and tagged them again for the first time for a Sprint Cup car. Finch also owns Phoenix Construction and utilizes Komatsu equipment.

Approximately 500 customers, friends, guests and representatives of Komatsu America and TEC joined together for a hospitality event at the Champion Center on the grounds of Talladega Superspeedway prior to watching the number 09 Phoenix Racing Komatsu-TEC sponsored Chevrolet Impala driven by Bobby Labonte run in the top tier series of NASCAR racing.

Race day kicked off with an early catered lunch, prize drawings and an opportunity to check out some Komatsu machines on display as well as the Komatsu Funny Car and NASCAR Nationwide Series car.
