LBX Company Introduces Link-Belt X3 Series Excavators

LBX is poised to meet the new interim Tier IV engine requirements with the launch of five models in the new X3 series of Link-Belt excavators in March 2011 at ConExpo. The new models available in 2011 include the 250 X3 which replaces the 240 X2, the 250 X3 Long-Front which replaces the 240 X2 long-front, the 300 X3 which replaces the 290 X2, and the 350 X3 which replaces the 350 X2. The 250X3, 300X3 and 350X3 will be shown at ConExpo; The 250X3 long front will be available in late April.

Link-Belt X3 Series Excavators will meet EPA Tier IVA emission requirements with exhaust gas recirculation and DOC/DPF technology; with estimated fuel savings exceeding 7-percent on most models, according to the manufacturer.

The X3 Series is equipped with a ROPS certified cab for operator safety and the cab has been upgraded to include many new amenities, such as a 7-in. color monitor, rear-view camera and auxiliary audio jack for MP3 players. Performance enhancements to the hydraulic system have resulted in cycle time improvements of 3 to 5 percent.
