Elko Mining Expo is one of the oldest mining expos in the United States.

Featuring more than 350 exhibitors, Elko allows visitors from across the country to explore and learn about cutting-edge mining solutions from professionals and manufacturers in the mining industry. This year Liebherr is serving as a sponsor of the 2025 Elko Mining Expo, a sponsorship that Liebherr has held for multiple years.

Zero Emissions Start Here

Liebherr is enabling the future of low emission mining by providing the industry with electric mining solutions and alternative fuel technologies. There is no-one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to decarbonizing mining sites, but with the more than 50 years of experience in the industry, Liebherr has developed machines with higher fuel efficiency and developed the Liebherr trolley assist system compatible with all our trucks to dramatically lower fuel consumption throughout automated cycles, according to Liebherr.

Liebherr also has recently unveiled the T 264 battery electric mining truck, a fully electric mining truck for the 240-ton class created through the recent partnership between Liebherr and Fortescue. These innovations, paired with Liebherr's continued work with Fortescue, will result in a large-scale zero emission mining ecosystem operational by 2030, according to Liebherr.

Future of Mining

Liebherr has a comprehensive product portfolio ranging from excavators and dozers to mining trucks. The PR 776 dozer is the world's largest hydrostatic dozer and features a reduced fuel burn rate as well as assistance systems to increase operators' efficiency on site. The Liebherr hydrostatic drive system within this dozer provides operators with smooth and continuous speed adjustments, reliable braking systems and quick response with simple joystick inputs, setting it apart from other dozers in its class.

The generation 8 R 9600 mining excavator not only achieves 20 percent less fuel consumption than Liebherr's previous model, it also has the highest bucket capacity in the 600-ton class, according to Liebherr. This heavy-duty excavator is equipped with Liebherr power efficiency systems that include the patented engine and hydraulic management systems to give operators increased fuel efficiency. This, along with an average service life of over 80,000 hours ensures that this machine is your onsite partner for the long term, according to Liebherr.
