A large group of staff and executive team members of Linder Industrial Machinery – Linder Turf & Tractor as well as manufacturer representatives and facility general contractor representatives turned out for the official groundbreaking of the new Linder Turf & Tractor Valdosta, Ga., facility on Dec. 17. The site selected for this new building is directly across the busy Hwy. 84 West corridor from the existing Linder facility.
"We are very proud to officially break ground on our new Valdosta location," said Travis Mullins, president and CEO of Linder Industrial Machinery. "The larger showroom and 10-acre yard will allow us to more effectively showcase our comprehensive lineup of Kubota, Deutz-Fahr and BOMAG product lines. This new facility represents a significant investment in our local infrastructure and reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to the hardworking farmers, landscapers, construction professionals and homeowners throughout the region."
Participating in the groundbreaking ceremony was Mike Stanley, Kubota Tractor Corporation district sales manager.
"As Linder has continued to grow, we're extremely proud of the fact that they've invested in the Valdosta market with the construction of their Kubota facility that will focus on the local contractors and the agricultural and consumer business," said Stanley. "We're looking forward to a great future with Linder in south Georgia."
"We started moving dirt just a couple weeks before the official groundbreaking and plan to ‘hand over the keys' to a completed project in about 10 months," said Michael McRae, of Valdosta, Ga.-based Cauthan Construction Company
McRae gave accolades to assembling some great subcontractors for this project including Roundtree Construction, RPI Underground, Waldrop Construction, Caraway Construction, JFG Contracting, G&M Plumbing, Ray&Son Electrical and Waller Heating & Air.
Standout features of the facility include 8 service bays that will be served by an overhead and jib crane for service work, as well as a substantial increase in parts stocking, office and showroom space as compared to the existing facility. The new building will include an attached wash bay with recycled water system and many other features that will cater to the needs of the customer. CEG
