Linder Industrial Machinery, the Komatsu dealer in Florida and the Carolinas, recently hosted a one-day event featuring TopCon machine control systems on a Komatsu dozer, motorgrader and excavator.

Attendees enjoyed a barbecue lunch, followed by a brief presentation and the opportunity to try out the equipment with the TopCon machine control systems. A course was set up for running the Komatsu D65-17 dozer and GD655 motorgrader, while the PC240LC excavator had its own spot for operators to try out the digging depth control feature. Brief instructions were given to the operators and then they got to experience the machine control system first hand

One of the most popular machines was the D65-17 dozer equipped with TopCon’s 3DMC2 Inertial Sensor system. This is the first Komatsu machine equipped with a TopCon plug and play system. One of the advantages of this system, according to Roger Croft, Lengemann of Florida, is that the system can be set and then the dozer can run in third gear at full throttle and deliver a level grade.

Representative were on hand from both Komatsu and Lengemann of Florida, the TopCon dealer, as well as Linder.
