Link-Belt Excavators debuted the new 80 X4 excavator at ConExpo-Con/AGG 2026, offering an early preview of the next model in the X4 Series.

The 80 X4 introduces updates focused on improving operating efficiency and overall machine versatility. Powered by a Yanmar engine, the machine incorporates enhanced auxiliary hydraulic performance designed to support a broader range of work tools and applications.

Beyond the updated engine and hydraulics, the 80 X4 features several key advancements:

• The 80 X4 is engineered to deliver better fuel economy for more cost-effective operation.

• A new work mode has been added specifically to support high-flow work tool applications.

• Operators will experience improved comfort as the machine adopts the signature X4 cab interior.

• For enhanced visibility and safety, WAVES (wide angle visual enhancement system) is now available as an option with a 230-degree birds-eye view.

• The 80 X4 comes equipped with cab and boom LED lights and a quick coupler-ready provision to save on installation time and cost.
