NYC News Affliate WPIX is reporting that a man fell about five stories at a Manhattan construction site Monday morning and was impaled by multiple pieces of steel, fire officials said.

NYC News Affliate WPIX is reporting that a man fell about five stories at a Manhattan construction site Monday morning and was impaled by multiple pieces of steel, fire officials said.

He tumbled about five stories into the basement level of the site. The man, who was not identified, suffered serious injuries in the fall.

Fire officials said he was impaled by multiple pieces of rebar and taken to a hospital, conscious, in serious but stable condition.
