Construction Equipment Guide

Manitou, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of rough terrain construction and agricultural forklift trucks, announced its latest addition to its product line, the MT 6034.

The MT 6034 telescopic handler has 34.2 ft. of lift height with a rated operating capacity of 6,000 lbs. The model features a welded box-section design boom making it one of the strongest on the market.

Other design features include a rugged frame with reinforced C-channels, internal wet-disc brakes for longer life and improved stopping capability as well as a negative (spring-applied, hydraulically released) parking brake system. The negative parking brake applies automatically when the engine is shut off, or manually by pressing a rocker switch.

The roomy operator compartment provides pilot-assisted controls that are easy-to-reach and operate, optimizing operator accuracy and efficiency. The view from the cab is a full 360 degrees.

For applications that require operator protection from the weather, an optional enclosed cab with front and rear windows and a heater/defroster is available.

Other options include a suspension seat, a transmission declutch feature, a work light package and a Work Platform System (WPS) that allows the use of ANSI/ASME B56.6-compliant work platforms offering even more versatility.

The new addition to the MT Series is available with either 99- or 115-hp John Deere turbocharged diesel engines. Other standard features include a three-speed power-shift transmission, three steering modes and a quick-attach mounting system.

The new Manitou MT Series Maniscopic brings further depth to one of the broadest ranges of telescopic handlers in the North America market. Manitou continues to provide solutions for maximum return on investment for rental operations and construction companies.
