Martin & Martin Auctioneers Inc. held its one-owner absolute fleet reduction auction on July 26 in Princeton, W.Va. The one-owner sale featured approximately 100 heavy haul road tractors and dump trailers. Bidders that participated in the sale came from 21 states and four countries. TJ Freije, Martin & Martin auctioneer, conducted the sale. This was his first auction since being named the winner of the men's division of the National Auctioneers Association's 29th International Auctioneers Championship (IAC).

Both Freije, CAI, and Beth Rose, CAI, AARE, of Maumee, Ohio, winner of the women's division, received a $5,000 cash award, trophy and championship ring for their winning efforts through the preliminary bid-calling round, an interview round consisting of three questions and a final round of bid-calling that included the top 15 men and seven women.

Freije has competed in the IAC every year since 2006. He is a third-generation auction professional and won the Indiana state bid-calling championship in 2005.
