Construction Equipment Guide

More than 100 representatives of Metso Minerals distributors from throughout North American attended an open house on April 8 and 9 in Gastonia, NC. Participants toured Metso’s vibrating equipment manufacturing plant and braved the cool, rainy weather to view an extensive outdoor equipment display.

In-depth product presentations were given on screening media, vertical shaft impactors, mobile screens, vibrating equipment, mobile crushing plants and wear materials.

The open house also featured an “information buffet” dinner where distributors browsed informational displays on topics such as equipment financing, applications and systems, parts, training and product support.

Highlights of the equipment display included new mobile screen technology – the CV50 and CV100 compact mobile screens for construction contractors, and the track-mounted ST348, St356 and ST171 screen machines.

Other new products displayed included the NW353FS, a wheel-mounted, 7 by 20 ft. (2 by 6 m) horizontal mobile screening plant; the LT95, a track-mounted jaw; the LT300 track-mounted closed-circuit cone plant; and the ST620, a 6 by 20 ft. (1.8 by 6 m) aggregate screen mobile plant; and the IS 8 by 20 ft. (2.4 by 6 m) incline screen.

In addition to the new products, visitors also got a close-up look at products like the NW300HPS closed circuit portable plant, the Barmac Model 9100 vertical shaft impactor, the Nordberg VI300 vertical shaft impactor and many more. A large display of wear products, spare parts and screening media also was presented.
