Miller-Bradford & Risberg, the Case distributor, will host the Second Annual MBR Case Challenge May 1 at its Negaunee facility, located at 75 U.S. Hwy 41.
Beginning at 11 a.m., equipment operators will compete in two skill contests, using the Case Series 3 compact track loader model 420 and the Case loader backhoe model 580 SM. Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners. Case equipment will be displayed and demonstrated, including a Case military issue compact track loader. Beer, burgers, brats, soda and water will be sold; proceeds benefit the Pigs-N-Heat Fire Relief Fund, which aids Marquette County families who have suffered losses in a fire.
“We are very excited about our Second Annual MBR Case Challenge,” said Matt Anderson, branch manager of Miller-Bradford & Risberg’s Negaunee branch. “This event gives local equipment operators a chance to measure their skills against each other in a challenge using two top performing Case machines.”
The first place operator wins a 37-in. LCD high definition TV, while second and third places are awarded Gander Mountain gift cards for $200 and $100, respectively.
Miller-Bradford & Risberg also will be giving away raffle and door prizes. Equipment demonstrations will showcase Case equipment, including Series 3 skid steer loaders, E Series wheel loaders, and M Series backhoe loaders.
The Pigs-N-Heat Fire Relief Fund began in 1984 when a Marquette City police officer and firefighter joined a Michigan state trooper to raise money for a family who lost their home in a fire. The fund has distributed more than $300,000 to Marquette County families.
