MinnPar LLC, a subsidiary of PartsZone LLC, has agreed to purchase the rights to manufacture and sell service and replacement parts for all models of Grove Manlift aerial work platforms from Manitowoc Crane Group, a business entity of The Manitowoc Company Inc. Grove, part of the Manitowoc Crane Group since 2002, was founded in 1947 and is a producer of mobile hydraulic cranes. Since 1982, MinnPar has been a source for OEMs seeking a cost-effective solution to the aftermarket service parts management of non-core and discontinued product lines.

“Our value proposition is a true win-win for Manlift customers and for Manitowoc,” said PartsZone CEO Shirish Pareek. “Our main business is to cost-effectively manage the service parts business for industry leaders such as Caterpillar, Allis Chalmers, Borg Warner, and now Manitowoc Crane Group for its Grove Manlift line of aerial work platforms.

“Our focus on service parts allows the OEM to focus its attention on improved performance and customer service for current and core product lines. We provide exceptional technical and parts support to our dealers worldwide.”

“We chose to partner with MinnPar because of their proven track record for customer service,” said Larry Weyers, executive vice president, Manitowoc Crane Group. “Their technical and customer support expertise ensures that current or future generation owners of industry-leading Grove Manlift aerial work platform equipment will have continued availability of genuine OEM replacement parts they have come to expect.”

In transitioning the service parts management business to PartsZone/MinnPar, OEMs such as Manitowoc Crane Group transfer all blueprints, engineering drawings, parts inventories, customer and supplier lists and transactional records. According to industry analysts, the trend towards outsourcing end-of-life service parts to specialty providers such as MinnPar has been intensifying and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
