(8,000 and 18,000 kg), the Montabert 501 Next Generation (501 NG) hydraulic breaker demolishes oversized boulders and thick concrete with ease — delivering up to 870 blows per minute. The all-purpose 501 NG falls within the 2,000 ft.-lb. impact energy class and requires a hydraulic flow rate between 21 and 37 gal. (79.5 and 140 L) per minute.

In comparison to hydraulic breakers of similar size, the 501 NG provides superior power-to-weight ratio and performance-improving features, including an energy recovery system that recycles recoil energy from the piston to increase strike power and blank-fire protection that reduces harmful metal-to-metal contact. The upper and lower suspension system absorbs harmful vibrations and stress waves, diminishing carrier wear and operator fatigue, according to the manufacturer.

Optional features include an automatic, cradle-mounted grease station that delivers continuous oil flow, reducing bushing and tool wear.
