More than 1,400 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers’ unreserved public equipment auction in Atlanta, Ga., on June 27. Bidders came from 48 countries, including 48 U.S. states. More than 73 percent of the equipment was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as Chile, Hong Kong, Russia and the United Kingdom. Online bidders purchased close to 50 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value). In total, close to 900 equipment lots were sold in the auction, including crawler tractors, excavators, wheel loaders, loader backhoes, truck tractors and more.
