Approximately 2,300 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers’ multi-million dollar unreserved public equipment auction Dec. 18 in North East, Md.

Bidders came from more than 45 countries, including 47 U.S. states. More than 87 percent of the equipment was sold to buyers outside the state, from as far away as Panama, Sweden, Malaysia and Egypt. Online bidders purchased more than 55 percent of the equipment sold (based on gross auction proceeds).

The auction featured more than 1,650 equipment items and trucks, including wheel loaders, hydraulic excavators, crawler tractors, articulated dump trucks and truck tractors.
