More than 2,550 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros.’s unreserved public auction at its Phoenix site.

Bidders came from 44 countries, including 48 U.S. states. More than 69 percent of the equipment was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as Guatemala, Poland and Vietnam. Online bidders purchased 39 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

In total, more than 1,700 equipment items were sold in the auction, including 90 plus scissorlifts, 70 plus truck tractors, 70 plus pickup trucks, 30 plus compactors and more.

“We are very pleased with the participation and results from our November auction here in Phoenix,” said Chris Holmberg, regional sales manager, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. “The 2006 CON-E-CO concrete batch plant which sold for $270,000 to an on-site bidder from Texas was one of the main highlights of the auction. We also saw strong results in the crushing and heavy construction equipment sectors.”
