Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co. Inc., the John Deere Construction Equipment dealer organization in Springfield, Mo., has added Ed August to its staff as a territory sales manager.

August will be based out of Joplin, and will be responsible for heavy equipment sales in a nine county area of southwest Missouri.

August said he is familiar with the construction and mining industry in the Missouri area.

He has experience in construction equipment sales and has worked in real estate sales for several real estate developers, large and small.

“Ed is very focused and has a strong dedication to excellence,” said Branch Manager Bill Shank. “He is committed to providing thorough and comprehensive service to his customers.”
