NSSGA Appoints Mira Lezell as Senior Vice President of Government, Regulatory Affairs

Mira Lezell named senior vice president of government, regulatory affairs of NSSGA. Lezell brings experience in transportation policy from Capitol Hill roles. She will lead government and regulatory affairs teams with a deep understanding of legislative processes and stakeholder relations.

The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) announced that Mira Lezell has been named senior vice president of government and regulatory affairs effective Feb. 26, 2026. Lezell brings a wealth of experience in transportation and infrastructure policy through her two decades on Capitol Hill.

"We are very excited to have Mira lead our government and regulatory affairs teams," said Michele Stanley, NSSGA president and CEO. "Her background in transportation policy, while working in congress and in the administration, will be a tremendous asset to the association. She brings a deep understanding of the legislative process, appreciation for strong stakeholder relationships and an ability to navigate complex issues effectively."

Lezell most recently served as the policy advisor for the House Transportation & Infrastructure committee. Prior to that, she served as staff director of the Highways and Transit Subcommittee and worked in the office of the Secretary of Transportation during President Trump's first term. She has two decades of experience working in congress, including serving on the staff of a former senior member of the Appropriations Committee and as chief of staff to a former senior member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
