The New York State Association of Town Superintendents of Highways (NYSAOTSOH) held its 96th Annual Conference, Educational Symposium and Expo Sept. 23-26, 2025, at the Niagara Falls Convention Center.

This year's theme, "Navigating the Roads: Guiding Roads and Overcoming Obstacles," reflected the challenges and responsibilities that highway superintendents across New York face each day. The multi-day event combined educational sessions, networking opportunities and vendor exhibits that highlighted new products, technologies and services available to town highway departments.

The conference kicked off with the annual golf outing sponsored by Allegiance Trucks, which is always a popular event that provides an informal setting for superintendents to exchange ideas while enjoying the fall scenery. During the evening of Sept. 24, attendees gathered for the annual Vendor Night, where suppliers and manufacturers from across the state showcased equipment and materials essential to municipal road maintenance and construction. Auctions Internation sponsored the prizes at the golf outing.

During the evening of Sept. 25, the association held its annual banquet, a highlight of the conference that included the ceremonial transition of leadership. Outgoing President Matt Mustico was honored for his service, while incoming President Jamie Dussing was formally welcomed to lead the association into its next year.

Beyond professional development and networking, attendees also took advantage of several recreational opportunities unique to Niagara Falls, including a cruise on the famous Maid of the Mist, a tour of the Cave of the Winds, a cornhole tournament and an evening of karaoke.

The Association expressed its sincere appreciation to the sponsors and vendors who made this year's event possible. Sponsors included:

• Gold: Suit-Kote Corporation and the Alamo Group

• Silver: Chemung Supply Corporation, ConwayBeam Truck Group, Tracey Road Equipment and Van Bortel Fleet Services

• Bronze: GovDeals Liquidation Services, Five Star Equipment, Innovative Surface Solutions, Reed Systems, Gradall, Hartman Products, NYPPA and Gorman Construction All States Materials Group

The annual conference continues to serve as one of the most important gatherings for municipal highway professionals across New York State — a time to share ideas, strengthen relationships, and look ahead to the road challenges yet to come. P
